El Real Club Pineda fue escenario ayer del I Torneo Abierto Hermandad de la Macarena de Pádel y Golf, una iniciativa solidaria en la que los beneficios obtenidos se destinan a la bolsa de caridad de la Asistencia Social de la Hermandad, que los empleará en hacer más llevaderas a los colectivos más desfavorecidos las fiestas de Navidad.
Son muchos los paralelismos que a juicio de José Antonio García de Tejada, presidente de Pineda, existen entre el club social y la Hermandad de la Macarena, y que han propiciado su colaboración en este torneo.
Vínculos entre el club y la Hermandad
El club cuenta con 10.000 socios y la Hermandad con 12.000 hermanos.
"Ambas", señaló García de Tejada "son instituciones vivas, tradicionales y abiertas a la ciudad".
Varios hermanos mayores de la Macarena han sido socios de Pineda, como José González Reina, Eduardo Miura, José Luis Pablo-Romero o Joaquín Sainz de la Maza.
Además, en la junta directiva de la hermandad hay socios de Pineda y en la junta directiva del club, dos hermanos de la Macarena, un ex presidente del Consejo General de Hermandades y Cofradías y hermanos del Gran Poder, Amor, Pasión, Quinta Angustia o Santa Cruz.
"Por tanto", aseguró el presidente de Pineda, "conocemos bastante bien la gran labor social que llevan a cabo las hermandades".

Men and women aged 16 and over (who turn 16 during the year) can play, without needing a federation license to participate.
Ranking restrictions (CANNOT PLAY): Men's category: the top 100 in the FAP ranking Female category: the top 50 in the FAP ranking.
Players with more than 10 FIP points currently.
A player can only register for two categories, if one of them is Mixed, and also at the same level or higher than their male or female category.
(For example: A player in the Men's 3rd category can never play in a Mixed 4th category).
By registering for an ADIDAS PADEL TOUR Tournament, it is implied that all participants declare that they know and accept these Regulations.
